Vermicelli Salad Recipe

Vermicelli salad is an easy and satisfying mediterranean food full of healthy ingredients. It is suitable for consumption in all meals. You can try this delicious salad for offering to your guests during tea time. You can replace the ingredients based on your taste and favorite vegetables.

How to Make Vermicelli Salad?

It is easy to make vermicelli salad at home. Here are the ingredients and step-by-step directions for making vermicelli pasta salad.

Vermicelli Salad

Ingredients

Short cut thin vermicelli (3 cups), dill (1 bunch) , steamed corn (1 cup), pickled gherkins (7 piece), roasted capia peppers (3 piece), salt (1 teaspoon), chili peper flakes (1 teaspoon), fresh lemon juice (1/3 cup), olive oil (1/3 cup), pomegranate sauce (3 table spoons), sunflower oil (1/3 cup)

Directions:

1- First of all, take the vermicelli and sonflower oil into a wok and stir-fry over medium heat until golden brown.

2- Add boiling water into the fried vermicelli and mix. It will absorb the water very quickly. Add more boiling water and mix. Cook over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes.

3- Then remove the pan from the heat, cover with lid and put aside until it reaches room temperature.

4- Wash 3 pieces of capia peppers and scratch with a knife.

5-Place them over a tray with baking paper and roast for 20 minutes in 190 degrees oven

6- You can also roast capia peppers by putting them on the fire.

7- Cut the pickled gherkins into small cubes.

8- Wash, dry and chop the dill.

9- Take the capia peppers from the oven and wait for a while for cooling down a little bit.

10- Remove the skins of the capia peppers.

11- Apply horizontal cuts in stripes to the roasted capia peppers first, then cut into small cubes vertically.

12- Now we are ready to mix all the ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, add the cooled vermicellis, chopped dills, steamed corn, diced pickled gherkins, salt, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, pomegranate sauce and olive oil.
