Cookie Recipe: Easy Turkish Sesame Cookies

  • 125 gr butter (softened)
  • 100 ml. vegetable oil
  • 75 gr. granulated sugar
  • 120 gr. starch
  • 1 pack baking powder
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/3 cup hazelnut pieces
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • All purpose flour (around 1 cup)

How to Make Easy Sesame Cookies?

1- Firstly transfer 125 gr. softened butter and 75 gr. granulated sugar into a big mixing bowl. Mix with a spatula until the sugar is melt.

2- When th sugar melts, add 100 ml vegetable oil and mix until all blends.

3- Add the egg yolk and continue to mix.

4- When all blends, add 120 gr starch and the hazelnut pieces and mix.

5- Then add 1 pack of baking powder, 1 pack of vanilla sugar and 1/3 cup of chocolate chips.

6- Finally add the flour gradually. Keep adding little by little until getting a soft dough.

7- Tear off walnut size pieces and round them into flat balls.

8- First coat the surface with egg white and second with the sesame seeds.

9- Put baking paper on a baking tray.

10- Place the rounded dough balls on the baking paper.

11- Cook in pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.

12- Let them cool on a cooling tray until they reach to room temperature.

13- Your sesame cookies are ready to serve. Enjoy 🙂
